How to Manually Remove the Tubby.dll Virus
1. Click the 'Start' button. In Windows Vista or 7, the 'Start' button is the Windows icon in the lower-left corner of the screen.
2. In XP and older versions of Windows, select 'Programs.' In Windows Vista or 7, type 'CMD' into the 'Run' box that appears after clicking the Windows icon, and then skip to Step 5.
3. Select 'Accessories.'
4. Click 'Command Prompt.' In older versions of Windows, click 'DOS Prompt.'
5. Type the following two lines into the prompt window:cd '%WinDir%\System'
regsvr32 /u filename.dllNow comes the hard work. Manually enter each of the following file names into the line, replacing the 'filename.dll' part of the prompt: 'tubby.dll,' 'NAS.dll,' 'DLL.dll,' 'ADV.dll,' 'TBC.dll,' 'MTC.dll,' 'VTLbar1.dll,' 'max6032.dll,' 'max8264.dll,' 'mtc2608.dll,' 'qwe0486.dll,' 'qwe1316.dll,' 'qwe2698.dll,' 'qwe4820.dll,' 'qwe7972.dll,' 'qwe8264.dll,' 'spm1316.dll,' 'spm4820.dll,' 'vld1306.dll,' 'wer1306.dll,' 'wer4820.dll,' 'yer5750.dll,' 'yer6032.dll' and 'wins32t.dll.'All of these associated files will now be removed.
6. Restart the computer.
7. Open your 'C:' drive, and then open the 'Windows' folder located inside.
8. Open the 'System' or 'System32' folder.
9. Delete any files with names listed in Step 5.
10. Open the 'Internet Options' menu from the Start menu. In Windows Vista or 7, type 'Internet Settings' into the 'Run' window that appears after clicking on the Windows icon, and then skip to Step 12.
11. Select 'Programs.'
12. Select 'Reset Web Settings' in the Internet Options/Settings menu. Internet Explorer will now return to normal.
