1. Open a 'Command Prompt' with administrative privileges. Click the Windows logo to open the 'Start' menu, then pick 'All Programs' in Windows Vista or a newer version of Windows. Select 'Accessories' and right click on 'Command Prompt.' Choose 'Run as Administrator.' Click on 'Start' and then 'Run' in Windows XP or an older version of Windows. Type 'cmd' in the 'Open' dialog and press 'Enter.'
2. Enter the command 'regsvr32 %SystemDirectory%/Flash9f.ocx' where %SystemDirectory% is the full path to the Windows system directory. (For example, on a typical Windows XP system this directory is 'C:\Windows\system32.') Press 'Enter.'
3. Wait for the system to confirm that the file is registered. Close the 'Command Prompt' window.
Using the System File Checker Wizard
1. Click 'Start,' click 'Run,' type 'sfc /scannow' and click 'OK.'
2. The 'System File Checker Wizard' opens. Follow the directions.
3. Restart your computer when complete.
Using Internet Explorer
4. Open Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is closely related to Outlook Express, so problems with temporary Internet files stored under Internet Explorer can be affecting the operation of Outlook Express.
5. Click 'Tools' and click 'Internet Options.'
6. Click 'Delete' under 'Browsing history,' select the 'Temporary Internet Files' option and click 'OK.'
Re-registering Libraries
7. Click 'Start,' then 'Run.'
8. Type 'regsvr32 urlmon.dll' into the Run box and click 'OK.' Click 'OK' on the 'DllRegisterServer succeeded' dialog box.
9. Type 'regsvr32 mshtml.dll' into the Run box and click 'OK.' Click ' OK' on the 'DllRegisterServer succeeded' dialog box.
10. Type 'regsvr32 shdocvw.dll' into the Run box and click 'OK.' Click ' OK' on the 'DllRegisterServer succeeded' dialog box.
11. Type 'regsvr32 browseui.dll' into the Run box and click 'OK.' Click ' OK' on the 'DllRegisterServer succeeded' dialog box.
12. Type 'regsvr32 msjava.dll' into the Run box and click 'OK.' Click ' OK' on the 'DllRegisterServer succeeded' dialog box.
Reinstalling Outlook Express
13. Click 'Start,' then 'Run.'
14. Type '%systemroot%\inf' and click 'OK.' The 'Windows\inf' folder opens.
15. Look for 'MSOE50.inf,' right-click on the file and then select 'Install.' This process is going to reinstall Outlook Express on your system. You may need your Windows XP disc.
1. Click on 'Control Panel' from your Start menu.
2. Click 'Add or Remove Programs' or 'Programs and Features.'
3. Select 'Microsoft SQL Server.'
4. Click 'Remove' or 'Uninstall.' Then confirm your desire to remove the program.
5. Restart your computer.
6. Download a new copy of SQL Server from the Microsoft link in Resources.
7. Double-click the downloaded file to install.
8. Install the latest service pack from the Microsoft link. This fixes many issues, including ones involving SQLDumper.
1. Right-click on the start button in Windows. When your options pop up, select explore to open Windows Explorer. In the left panel of Explorer, navigate to the system folder for your version of Windows. If you're using a 32-bit version of XP or Vista, this is C:\Windows\System32. In 64-bit versions of XP or Vista, it's C:\Windows\SysWOW64. In 2000 and NT, it's C:\WINNT\System32. In 95, 98 and ME, it's C:\Windows\System.
2. Left-click on the system folder in the left panel to display all of its contents in the right panel. Browse through the right panel until you see nv4_disp.dll, then right-click on the file and select delete from the pop-up options. This moves the file to the recycle bin.
3. Left-click on the start button in Windows and click the run button on the start menu. In the run window, type 'cmd' and then click the run button. This will open the command prompt window.
4. Type regsvr32 /u C:\Windows\System32\nv4_disp.dll in the command prompt, but make sure that the file path specified is the right file path for your version of Windows. In this example, the file path for 32-bit versions of XP and Vista is used. If you're using a different version, refer to the system folder file paths listed in step one and substitute the path for your version in this line. Once you've typed this command, press enter to unregister the .dll from your system.
1. Download a registry cleaning program such as ErrorFix, RegCleaner, CCleaner, or any other piece of freeware dedicated to cleaning the computer's registry. Over time, this area of the computer will build up with unneeded files--purging these files with free software can fix errors on your machine, improving its performance.
2. Install your chosen registry-cleaning program to your main hard drive.
3. Defragment the drive by going to the 'Start' menu, to the 'All Programs' list, the 'Accessories' folder, then the 'System Tools' folder.
4. Select your main hard drive (usually the 'C' drive) and press the 'Defragment Now' button.
5. Open your registry-cleaning program and press the 'Scan Now' button.
6. Press the 'repair' button when the scan is complete to fix your registry, solving many common computer errors.
1. Click 'Start' followed by 'Shut down' and select 'Restart' from the list. When your computer starts booting up, press and hold the 'F10' key. Your computer's system BIOS information will be displayed. Write down the information listed in the BIOS, such as the booting sequence for the computer's devices and the time and date. Click 'ESC' and then 'Y' to exit the BIOS screen when you finish recording the information. Your computer will finish booting up and load your operating system.
2. Turn off your computer. Click 'Start' and then 'Shut down' or 'Turn off computer.'
3. Unplug the power cable of your computer and remove the battery if it has one. Take off the outer casing of your computer by carefully removing the screws and sliding the cover off.
4. Find the CMOS battery, which is located on the motherboard. The motherboard is a rectangular-shaped circuit board and the battery is a silver-colored, round-shaped button cell. It is usually resting in a socket directly on top of the motherboard with the positive pole of the battery facing up. Carefully remove the battery from the socket.
5. Place the new CMOS battery in the socket with the positive side facing up. Replace the outer casing of your computer and plug the power cable back into the wall socket.
6. Press your computer's power button. Press the 'F10' key when the computer starts to boot up to enter the BIOS screen.
7. Enter the BIOS information that you previously recorded in the BIOS screen if there are any changes. Change the date and time and any parameters that are different from your recorded BIOS settings. Press 'ESC' followed by 'Y' when you are finished. Your computer will complete the boot-up process.
1. Download the Unregister tool from Paretologic's website (see 'Resources').
2. Right-click on the Unregister tool. Select 'Run As Admin' from the pop-up menu. The Unregister tool will launch.
3. Choose 'Regcure' from the list of programs provided. Select 'Unregister.'
4. Reboot your PC.
Unregister and Delete Addins
1. Click on 'Start' and then click on 'Run.' Windows Vista and 7 do not have a 'Run' icon, so you will need to click on the 'Start Search' field.
2. Type 'CMD' into 'Search' or 'Run,' and press the 'Enter' key. This will open a 'Command Prompt' window.
3. Type 'C:\Program Files\ScanSoft' into the command line window. Hit 'Enter.'
4. Type in your ScanSoft PDF version, such as 'PDF Converter Professional 6.' Hit 'Enter' to navigate to that folder. You can type in ''C:\Program Files\ScanSoft\PDF Converter Professional 6' as one command if you are familiar with your software.
5. Type in the 'regsvr32 /u PDFCWordaddin.dll' command and hit 'Enter' (without quotes). This will unregister the first Scansoft addin file.
6. Type in 'PDF Driver\OfficeAddin' and hit 'Enter.'
7. Type in the 'regsvr32 /u ZnWordaddin.dll' command and hit 'Enter.'
8. Close out 'Command Prompt' by typing in 'Exit' and hitting 'Enter.'
Remove ScanSoft Office Addin
9. Click on 'Start' and select 'Control Panel.'
10. Double click on 'Add/Remove Programs' or 'Programs and Features' (if using Windows Vista or 7).
11. Select 'Sun ODF Plugin for Microsoft Office' from the program list.
12. Click on the 'Uninstall' button. Confirm you wish to remove the addin by clicking on 'Continue.'
13. Restart the computer if prompted.
1. Use the VB view menu and open the code window. Select the form from drop-down combo box situated in the top left corner. You will need to place the MSChart control on the form in VB.
2. Select the graph type like line, 3D or column. For plotting line graph, set chart type to 'VtChChartType2dLine' and proceed.
3. Take an array which is two dimensional and store the X axis and Y axis values. Assign the array to the chart data property. The first two lines will help set subsets and points. This is for the amount of data that is required while plotting the graph.
4. Use a for-next loop to pass random data into the 2-D array or type in the static data manually to set up the elements of the array. Plot the graph properties to draw the X axis first, followed by the Y axis. Set the main title and subtitle along with the axis labels.
5. To access data from an Excel worksheet, use the get-object method to obtain reference to the workbook containing the worksheet. A reference needs to be set with the Excel objects library. This will help to populate the data in the array from the Workbook.
6. Set the Row and Column properties before returning the Data property for the Graph. Use the PointActivated event in VB to set the Data property. Change the scale of the graph by using ComboBox control and make changes to Y axis. Use the CommonDialog control's color property to apply different colors using the set method in the Graph.
7. After completing the coding based on the above mentioned steps use the Run option from the Start Menu to plot the graph. The customization options can be set through the Form properties window and helps to adjust plotting method, point labels, height, width and subset line types of the Graph.
1. Download Shell32.DLL from Windows official website.
2. Click the "My Documents" icon on your desktop, then click on "Downloads."
3. Click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and click on "Local Disk."
4. Drag Shell32.DLL from "Downloads" to "Local Disk."
5. Open the "Start" menu and click on "Run."
6. Type "REGSVR32 Shell32.DLL" into the box and press enter to finalize the installation.
